Sibylla
Melissa Hilker
Melissa Hilker Born to extremely musical parents, music was not an option in Melissa Hilker’s life. Thankfully, she showed a love for singing at an early age. Such was not always the case for the piano, which was forced on her until she grew to enjoy it in high school. In elementary school, she received several lead roles in church musicals, and went on to be part of multiple school and church choirs in high school. In college, Melissa sang under the batons of Dr. Mary Hopper, Dr. Paul Wiens and world renowned American conductor, Maestro John Nelson through the Wheaton College Women’s Chorale and Concert Choir. Following graduation, Melissa continued her pursuit of excellence in choral music, making her way to the Cathedral Choral Society in Washington, DC. It was there that current members of Sibylla "discovered" Melissa, and convinced her to give up yet another of her evenings for the love of music.
